Michael Ellsberg

Michael Ellsberg is a professional developmental editor and book proposal writer. Proposals he has worked on have lead to book deals from publishers including VikingPenguin, Avery, Union Square Press, Lyons Press, Summersdale (UK), and New Holland (Australia). He did major developmental work on his father Daniel Ellsberg's bestseller Secrets: A Memoir of Vietnam and the Pentagon Papers, and on The Man Who Swam the Amazon: 3,274 Miles on the World's Deadliest River by Martin Strel and Matthew Mohlke (Lyons, 2008).


As a hobby, Michael created a series of singles events called Eye Gazing Parties, which received coverage from the New York Times, CNN, Good Morning America, and in major media around the globe. Elle magazine called Eye Gazing Parties "New York's hottest dating trend."
